Mandatory Over Time FYI
Post date: Aug 30, 2017 6:57:54 PM
Aloha All,
I wanted to first thank you all for those who have been working this Mandatory over time I know it sucks I'm with you. I just do my 40 and I am out. I have been getting the same questions sent to my so I figure I send this email to you all so we are all updated and on the same page.
Prayers to our brothers and sisters in Houston and those affected by Hurricane Harvey. For the Houston office closure here is what the contract reads
This means as long as the company has the facility closed you will get regular pay until they open back up for work.
For those that are on Mandatory overtime and wondering about your pay here is what the contract reads....
So we are day 4 of mandatory overtime I pray levels go lower cause I know it's a strain on all of you with your ohana and other things.
If you started from Sunday on overtime that was paid at time in a half REGARDLESS OF YOUR WORK STATUS - PART OR FULL TIME and regardless if you have your 40 hours
If you then worked on Monday you will be paid double time, if you worked yesterday Tuesday it will also be double as long as you are working consecutive days.
If you had a trade or PTO you should not be required to come back to work the mandatory overtime.
Now if you don't or can not do the Mandatory overtime. Although the company is working with everyone on accommodating if you have to pick up your children from school, doctors appointments etc. Here is what can happen..... (per the attendance policy)
I have also attached the full page of the attendance points
So if you can not work I Highly suggest you Email CHIRR tower at chirr-ops@united.com, IAH ops at nhcssd@united.com and cc in your supervisor letting them know you can not do the mandatory overtime for that day. That way you are cover all around You will receive 1 point from your attendance balance.
If you just no call, no show to the mandatory overtime that is 3 points deducted.
Also please keep in mind if you guys are low on point it can trigger discipline.
If there is anything I missed our if you have any questions that I can help will please email, call, text or IM me. I will be on Vacation starting September 1, but that does not mean I am not reachable. I am here for you all, even if you want to VENT!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay safe ohana and please take one call at a time.
