When to ask for a Union Rep with Supervisors

Aloha All,

Please remember as a union member you are entitled to have a union shop steward or myself the committee when meeting with your supervisor.

We would highly suggest any coaching or counseling session because this is now could be the first documented step towards discipline process. It is always better for your protection to have a second set of ears in your conversations.

Supervisors are advising agents that a union rep is not needed unless you are receiving actual discipline but know that the more documentation and notes you have for all meetings is just better for the membership. If they deny you your union right to representation please email me the time and day and what the meeting was for and your supervisor name that denied the union representation so we may keep track.

It should not hurt anyone member nor company to have an extra set of ears. Also if you feel uncomfortable with your supervisor please ask for a union rep. We have been getting this feedback as well.
